This Privacy Policy explains how Legal AI Insight ("Legal AI Insight," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains information in connection with legalaiinsight.com, the The AI Law Brief newsletter, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. This policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), where applicable.
Information we collect

- Information you provide. When you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a contact form, or sign up for product trials through our links, we collect your email address and any optional details you choose to share, such as your name, role, firm or company name, and area of practice.

- Cloudflare, Inc. Content delivery, DNS, and security. Processes IP addresses and request metadata as part of providing these services.
- Analytics providers. We use privacy-focused analytics to understand site usage. Analytics data is aggregated and does not personally identify individual visitors.
- Email delivery services. We use a third-party service to send the The AI Law Brief newsletter and transactional emails. Your email address is shared with this provider solely for delivery purposes.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We select providers that meet appropriate data protection standards, but we encourage you to review their policies.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services and meet legal requirements:
- Newsletter subscriptions. We retain your email address and subscription preferences for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a short period thereafter for re-engagement purposes, unless you request deletion.
- Analytics data. Anonymized usage data is retained for up to 26 months after collection to allow for trend analysis.
- Contact form submissions. We retain information from contact forms for up to 12 months after the inquiry is resolved, after which it is deleted.
- Legal holds. We may retain information longer if required by law, regulation, or pending legal proceedings.
Your choices and rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information, subject to applicable law:
- Unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us directly.
- Access. You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Deletion. You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
- Restriction. You can request that we limit the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Portability. Where technically feasible, you can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. International users and children
The Services are operated from the United States and intended for a general audience, including legal professionals. The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
